Get ready for an exciting adventure, 5th graders! Instead of a Valentine's day class party, we will be heading to Skate City for a fun-filled STEM field trip! Students will engage in an hour-long lesson where they'll discover the math concepts hidden throughout the skating rink. They'll measure and calculate skater speeds, analyze skate sizes using mean, median, and mode, and explore the shapes found all around the rink. After the lesson, students will have two hours to skate and enjoy the rink! Please remember to bring a sack lunch for this fantastic day of learning and fun!
