Mechanical Magic: Make Your Own Automata (Grades 6-8)

In this fun STEM activity, you will build an automata, a machine that makes parts appear and disappear, move up and down, spin in circles, or all of these together. One example will be shown, but you can use your imagination to build any moving animal or object you want! It will be yours to bring home!  You can laser engrave your object with Adobe Illustrator or draw on cardboard and cut out yourself. This course counts towards the design or mechanics discipline for those interested in the Engineering Certificate Program.
