Structural/Architectural Engineering: Grades 6-8

Do you want to try your hand at building the Sydney Opera House or the Eiffel Tower? Maybe you'd rather build a suspension bridge or skyscrapers. This class allows you to build your foundation in architectural and structural design with engineering kits that explores the engineering principles behind planning and developing buildings and structures. You play the role of architect and engineer as you piece together an array of models, from small, basic structural elements like trusses, arches, and domes, to giant complex models of real-world buildings.  This course will count for one credit towards the Engineering Certificate Program in the mechanics discipline.
