IMPORTANT IMFORMATION PLEASE READ -
Registration for the 2025-2026 Boys Basketball Season is now open. American Academy is a member of the South Metro Charter Conference which hosts league games among 10-12 participating schools. Parents will need to arrange transportation for away games.  Tryouts will take place October 20th and 21st (Mon/Tues) from 3:45 - 5:30 pm
There is a non-refundable $5.00 fee for all participants to secure your spot at tryouts. All participants will be notified of team placement within 48 hours of tryout conclusion after which there will be a 48 hour rescission period.  
By participating in tryouts you are agreeing that the credit/debit card used to complete this registration will automatically be charged an additional $100.00 for the skills team and $175.00 for varsity/junior varsity. There are no refunds after the 48 hour rescission period.  Our hope is that every registered student will participate on one of the teams to build skills in preparation for team advancement and preparation for high school.
The skills team: 

  • Tryouts are not required to join the skills team.  Students who wish to join the skills team without attending tryouts should register and follow-up with an email to the athletic director, Allison Riecke.
  • Additionally, the Skills team will practice primarily on Mondays starting October 27th, 3:45 - 5:00 pm and varsity/junior varsity games and practices will primarily be Tues-Thurs after school 3:45 - 5:30 pm starting Wednesday, October 22nd.  
PLEASE NOTE: schedules are subject to change. Coaches have the final say as to what days of the week and times practices will be held. Any dates and times indicated on this registration are place holders only, with the exception of Tryouts which will take place as indicated in the description above.
