GRADES 1-8

"The best way to predict the future is to create it."

- Abraham Lincoln

Virtually all popular cultural experiences have artists behind them. Movies, video games, board games, comic books, kids books, sporting events, concerts and more -- all of these thrive off of visual creativity. Whether through the logo on your favorite sports team's jersey or through a costume design for your favorite movie star, artists shape our world everywhere you look.

And you can shape the world too! In this club, artists will be challenged to invent and artistically create things that become part of the lives of people in our community. How? Easy -- produce a comic book to sell at the Rebel Buck festival, design a map for a scavenger hunt on our playground, create a card game that people can play in our Library, or come up with something totally new that's never been done before! Whether you work in 2D, 3D, or 4D (that is, through live performance), Mr. See will help direct your creation of a world you've only dreamed of.

Ready to create the future? Email Mr. See for more info or sign up here right away! (dcondry@aak8.org)

REFUNDS: Because American Academy teachers run our extracurricular activities based on the number of sign-ups prior to the activity, all activity fees are non-refundable unless the teacher needs to cancel the activity due to low enrollment.

LATE ENROLLMENT OR MISSED ATTENDANCE: Timely enrollment and regular attendance for each activity is the responsibility of the parent and the student. The activity fee does not reflect the number of days your student attends the activity; rather, the activity fee is a flat fee budgeted to cover the costs to the school and the teacher for each activity that runs, and is the same for each student enrolled in that activity, regardless of the number of days the student attends. For this reason, American Academy does not prorate activity fees for late enrollments or give refunds to students not in attendance each day of the activity.
