Each dance class we offer has a maximum number of students allowed in each class so students get the technical attention they deserve to further advance individual skills. Students wanting to register after a class reaches its maximum capacity will be places on a waitlist. When the waitlist reaches a minimum number needed to open a new class, students will be notified on a first come first serve bases.
Important - Purchase of dance attire, at the direction of instructors, is recommended. This may include tap, jazz, and ballet shoes, as well as basic dance clothing.
Beginning musical theater dance is a great place for our younger students to be introduced to all styles of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. This class is designed for younger students in an effort to spark and maintain their interest, while exposing them to different styles of dance, in a fun energetic environment. This class will begin teaching students dance terminology, balance and coordination while continuing to explore fun music in the Broadway genre.
REFUNDS: Because American Academy teachers run our extracurricular activities based on the number of sign-ups prior to the activity, all activity fees are non-refundable unless the teacher needs to cancel the activity due to low enrollment.
LATE ENROLLMENT OR MISSED ATTENDANCE: Timely enrollment and regular attendance for each activity is the responsibility of the parent and the student. The activity fee does not reflect the number of days your student attends the activity; rather, the activity fee is a flat fee budgeted to cover the costs to the school and the teacher for each activity that runs, and is the same for each student enrolled in that activity, regardless of the number of days the student attends. For this reason, American Academy does not prorate activity fees for late enrollments or give refunds to students not in attendance each day of the activity.
