Info

IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO SPAMALOT - Thank you for your interest in our summer middle school production of Spamalot. Currently our first cast is full, and we are accepting registrations on our waiting list for a second cast. If we have enough students register on our waiting list, we will consider a second cast. We will also fill any openings from cancellations from those signed up on the waiting list.

If you have or are a middle school boy, there is one spot remaining for a boy on our current cast, and you may register by contacting Mr. Middlebrooks at mmiddlebrooks@aak8.org.

Incoming 6th grade students through graduated 8th grade students are welcome.

CAMP LOCATIONS

JULY 16TH through JULY 20TH(REHEARSAL LOCATED AT AMERICAN ACADEMY CAMPUS (TBD)

JULY 23RD through JULY 28TH (REHEARSALS LOCATED AT SCHOOLHOUSE THEATRE)

American Academy s Triple Threat Theater Camp is the ultimate theater experience. We strive to spark creativity and build self-confidence by experiencing the arts in a challenging, supportive and fun environment.

This camp is designed for students entering 6th through 8th grade. You DO NOT need to be a registered American Academy student to participate. Students will work on skills in acting, theater dance, and voice while preparing to perform Monty Python s Spamalot school edition. Spamalot School Edition is a slightly reworked version of the original Broadway script. The School Edition has been carefully edited, with additional director s notes throughout, to make the show more producible for younger students. This production is rated PG. Questions regarding PG content can be directed to mmiddlebrooks@aak8.org.

Students must be registered prior to auditioning. Students are invited to participate without a qualifying audition (although we will utilize auditions for those who sign-up, in order to determine casting assignments). Graduating 8th grade students may participate in the MS production, or the alumni production, or both! Casting is primarily based on the student s preparation and performance in the audition. Auditions will take place in May 2018.
